This Holiday, Rubik’s is celebrating the world-famous cube’s 40th Anniversary with a new sleek and durable design. Gone are the day of those stickers (sorry bro, you won't be able to cheat anymore!) Rubik’s designers created new permanent tiles for the Rubik’s Cube, making for a faster and smoother mechanism and a better game experience. Make it a KINDER Christmas!

Two days after Halloween we left for a family vacation to Jamaica, we couldn't have picked a better time with the cold weather settling in. When we returned this week our house was surrounded by the neighbours reindeer and blinking lights! Christmas already? Canadians are serious about our winter holiday! So while I scramble to peel the bats and ghosts off of the house, my heart really is itching to start celebrating the 'most wonderful time of the year'! The festive season for us is all … [Read more...]

Reindeer Thumbprint Ornaments

Elf on the Shelf Adventures 2013

The Elf on the Shelf Returns!

The boys started wondering if the elf was going to come back this year around late November. Eventually, he surprised them one morning by showing up in their bedroom when they woke one morning and the game was on! Jingles is the highlight of every morning as the boys search for his new location. He's a sweet little thing, and not a naughty elf like some others I've … [Read more...]

The Bowmanville Zoo presents The Animal’s Gift

My heart sunk last week when I heard that the Bowmanville Zoo had lost a long standing member of their zoo family. Limba the Asian Elephant was a sweet and gentle old girl at the age of 50 and our family was lucky enough to spend some time getting to know her personally last summer. My family adored Limba and we were so sad to hear that we wouldn't be seeing her again during the performance of The Animal's Gift. With heavy hearts we made our way to Bowmanville on the weekend to get a sneak peek … [Read more...]
