Hulk Smash Ice Cream ~ AKA: Mint Oreo Ice Cream

in Smallsville, three Superheroes weren’t feeling so super. Whines and cries could be heard echoing throughout the alleyways of “I’mmmm boooored!” and “There’s nothing to dooooo”. Luckily, for these superkids, their Super Mom was up for the task! Knowing that the superkids loved to craft up a sweet treat she gathered ingredients for a delectably disastrous dessert! 

 

Mint Oreo "Hulk Smash" Ice Cream

 

Ice Cream is surprisingly easy to make and really fun to do! You are only limited by your imagination here, as the flavour combinations are endless! The super kids love mint and they love chocolate, who doesn’t right? We dreamed up a yummy Mint Oreo flavour that required a wee bit of Hulk Smashing fun!!!!

Mint Oreo Ice Cream

 

Ingredients

2 Cups Heavy Cream

1 can of Sweetened Condensed Milk

20 Oreo Cookies (or mint oreo cookies)

1/2 tsp Peppermint Extract

green food colouring

 

Directions

Whip heavy cream in a large bowl, until stiff peaks form.

In a separate bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract and food colouring until you’ve reached the colour of green you like best. 

Add the whipped cream into the second bowl and stir until combined.

Place the oreo cookies into a large ziploc bag and using a meat pounder or rolling pin, Hulk Smash the cookies until coarsley crushed.

Fold the smashed cookie bits into the cream mixture until thoroughly mixed. 

Spread into a loaf pan, sprinkle a few cookie crumbs on top for decoration.

Cover with foil and place in freezer for at least 5 hours.

The oreo cookies actually go soft and chewy in the ice cream and the mint flavour is fresh, making this one creamy refreshing treat! The super kids loved the hulk smashing action and they are already dreaming up other super hero flavours we can try out! Sooooo…….
