Wonderful Wednesday- Children’s Books

I’m a HUGE fan of children’s literature, as an avid reader myself, it is important for me to instill a love of reading into my little guys at a young age. Especially because they are male, not too many grown men I know read and I’ll try to keep them reading for as long as possible. We have a pretty good reading library now, but I am always on the look out for new books -the boys usually get a new book for almost every holiday. We also like to make use of our local library to spice things up every once in awhile. Ever notice how kids will watch or read the same thing over and over again and never get bored??? I’m afraid the same cannot be said for me! I need variety!
Here’s a few of our favourites:

The Adventures of Little Wombat
This is one of those books that have four stories under one cover. The stories are super cute, but the real pleasure in reading this one is the pictures, they are gorgeous! Look for all the different bugs tucked into the drawings here and there. My boys have an uncle that lives in Australia and most of the characters in these books are Aussie ones so it’s extra fun for us.
Miss Mary Mack
You all remember this hand clapping rhyme right??? I spent hours singing this one with my friends when I was young. This book comes with a tape to sing a long with, but we usually just read/sing it ourselves. It’s a fun tune that Big Brother loves.

Sandra Boynton Books
These are two of our favourite Sandra Boynton books, she has sooo many of them though. Not all of them are great but a lot are and we especially love these two. Barnyard Dance is read almost like a little song and is super cute.
What are your favourite children’s Books???????
