Sweets on a Stick Blog Tour

Linda Vandermeer starting baking in the kitchen with her mom as a child and now as a mom herself she’s inviting her three kids to join her in her baking adventures. I’m the same way. I used to sit at the table making mini pies and concoctions while my mom worked in the kitchen and even with three boys I always make room on the counter for them. I always joke that I can tell how much they are growing by how they fit under under the cabinets.

Linda has a fun new recipe book out called Sweets on a Stick. All the rage these days, desserts on a stick is taking North America by storm. I’ve even made cake pops myself so I can appreciate how much work goes into these tasty little works of art!

Linda’s book features more than just cake though, think fruit, popcorn, pies, rice krispies, muffins and marshmallows! There are 150 kid friendly recipes in this book!
I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a photo for every creation, because some of these are quite detailed and I’m a very visual person. I will definitely be making the Fairy Bite Marshmallow Pops for my son’s class Valentine’s Party and both the Pirate Pies and  Big Mouth Monster Pops are on our future to-do list!
