If you follow me on facebook, you’ll know that the Mom vs. the Boys household have been hit pretty hard with the cold and flu bug already this year! In all honesty, I think we started the germ fest right in the first week back to school, but that’s always the way right? What can ya do?
5 Ways to Avoid Colds and Flu
1. Teach your kids to sneeze and cough into their arms not their hands. This way the germs are not being transferred to their hands which will be spread throughout the house onto everything they touch.
2. Get lots of sleep, this is true for every night but if you are fighting an oncoming cold you’ll need good rest, aim for at least 8 hours a night
3. Wash, wash, wash and then go wash your hands some more! This is your best defense!
4. Keep a small bottle of sanitizing gel in your purse or diaper bag. Apply when you are out and about, especially after grocery shopping where you are stuck holding the germy grocery cart.
5. Try an herbal medicine such as Echinacea
Swiss Natural Echinacea activates the cells of the immune system to help:
· fight off colds, flus and infections
· support therapies that act to treat colds, flus, upper respiratory tract infections
· help relieve sore throat and other cold symptoms
