Sleep Like a Superhero with Febreze Sleep Serenity

It’s a tough days work being a Superhero, fighting crime, punching through walls, saving cats from trees…it’s exhausting! That’s why at the end of the day, I’ll find my little pint sized heroes passed out like this on the floor – no bed needed!

passed out

If only it were that easy for me! I am one of those people who lie in bed awake all night thinking and the longer it takes to fall asleep the harder it gets. If I’m excited, stressed or away from home, it can be almost impossible to catch some zzzz’s. Achieving those recommended 7-8 hours a night can be pretty tough sometimes!

Unwinding during the hours before you climb into bed can make a big difference. Febreze has partnered with the National Sleep Foundation for some recommended tips that will have you counting sheep in no time:

Establish a regular bedtime: Try to go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day, even on the weekends. Trying to catch up on sleep on the weekends can actually have a reverse effect on the body, and make you feel more tired when Monday rolls around.

Create a sleep haven: Create an environment that promotes sleep – one that is quiet, dark, cool and comfortable. Fresh sheets, cooling pillows and black out shades seem to do the trick. There is nothing more that I love than climbing into a bed made with sheets fresh out of the dryer. Heavenly, I tell you!

Fill the air: Incorporate soothing fragrances into your bedtime routine to help relax and unwind. Febreze Sleep Serenity collection’s calming scents in Moonlit Lavender, Warm Milk & Honey and Quiet Jasmine help create a soothing bedtime atmosphere.

Exercising: Getting your body moving is one of the best things you can do to help you sleep. Exercise anytime, as long as it doesn’t cut into your shuteye. I like to sneak in my exercise during the morning or early afternoon, as I find evening workouts hamper with my bedtime routine and leave me energized. It’s a personal preference which will vary greatly from person to person.

Nighttime beverages: Avoid drinking caffeinated drinks such as coffee, tea and soft drinks after noon. Caffeine-free herbal tea or warm milk are great options prior to nestling into your sheets.

Frebreze Sleep Serenity

To help get you sleeping almost as good as any super hero, Febreze is introducing the NEW Febreze Sleep Serenity collection in three scents – Moonlit Lavender, Warm Milk & Honey and Quiet Jasmine. The new collection helps transform any bedroom into a peaceful environment ideal for sleeping. At first glance I thought the Moonlit Lavender or the Warm Milk & Honey were going to be my favourites, so I was really surprised to find that it was actually the Quiet Jasmine that won me over. Be sure to give them all a try before picking the one that suits you best!

Available in a bedside diffuser, bedroom mist, bedroom diffuser, or bedding refresher, the Febreze Sleep Serenity collection eliminates odours and fills the bedroom with long lasting, relaxing scents that don’t overpower the room.
