A floor cleaner that can vacuum up dirt AND steam clean my floors at the same time? Now that’s impressive! It also seemed a little too good to be true and I’ll admit, I was skeptical before I tried out the new BISSELL Symphony. As a busy mom to three boys and a chocolate lab, we had our share of dirty floors, but I wasn’t sure one cleaner would be able to do the job of two. I was excited to put it to the test though, because being able to do two jobs at once is a huge time saver and what did I have to lose?

Getting started with the Bissell Symphony is surprisingly easy. It was a quick assemble out of the box and I was ready to fill my tank with tap water and slip on the mop pad. The Symphony has a handy “Easy Fill” opening at the back of the unit that makes filling mess free. The unit comes with a water cup perfect for the job to fill the tank with 13 oz of room temp water. I have laminate flooring on my entire main floor except for one room and I was able to do the entire space and still have water reserved in the tank for next time.
The handle is adjustable, so you can find your own comfortable height and the attached cord is really long, I was able to move in and out of rooms easily without changing outlets too often.
No harsh chemicals necessary! You are going to be able to clean and sanitize the floor using only water and the power of the steam to eliminate 99.9% of germs and bacteria . Easy Touch Digital Controls let you switch between functions while cleaning so you can vacuum and steam at the same time or separately to match the right clean to the right situation. The unit comes with two mop pads, one does a little more ‘scrubbing’ than the other, or you can also place the Symphony over tough spots for about 15 -20 seconds using continuous steam to help loosen sticky spots.
Before starting I didn’t think mixing moisture and dirt was going to be such a great idea, but I was surprised to find that the vacuum worked incredibly well and the mop was catching all the dust a broom would leave behind. My favourite feature is the mop pads can be thrown right into the washing machine when done to be used again the next time. The vacuum tank stays dry and can be easily emptied right into a garbage can and placed back on.

It doesn’t slide around as easy as a wet mop would, so it’s a little harder to push, but does a good job!

I like that it is an all in one. Also washing the dirty cloth pads makes sense. I haven;t heard much about this brand until now so I appreciate the details here.

This is awesome and something I totally need. I use my vacuum instead of a broom on my hardwood and it’s a pain to switch back and forth from vacuum to steam mop. I love this!
