Fall is the perfect time to curl up indoors after a long day out apple picking with the family! Pour everyone a cup of hot chocolate, grab a blankie and gather in the living room for game night!
Start Traditions. It’s never too late to create new family traditions this fall season. Keep it Manageable. While it can be tempting to totally overload yourself this fall season from creating the perfect homemade Halloween costumes to making everything for Thanksgiving dinner from scratch, try not to take on too much. One of our favorite fall things to do is to pick apples at the u-picks in the Western Prince area. We have been to Arlington orchards and love it there.
They usually have it decorated for the children. I think the adults like it too. I know I do.
You may pick plums, pears and apples according to the season. The plums, especially, remind me Of a picture of Aladdin’s cave, where the trees are hung with jewelled fruit. They look so beautiful hanging on the trees in their jewel colors.
The staff are friendly and are very welcoming. This means a lot to us.
I love going for a drive and enjoying the wonderful scenery when the trees start changing colour. I once drove through the New England states at this time of year to admire the colourful scenery there, breath-takingly beautiful around every corner.
We like going to the corn maze 🙂 It used to be pick apples but since we moved across the country we no longer can pick them since they don’t grow here 🙁
