Did you know that April is Oral Health Month?
Maybe you didn’t even know that there was an oral health month and I wouldn’t have blamed you. It’s not exactly a holiday we decorate for and gather around the dining room table to celebrate with family.
But maybe we should? Your teeth are a pretty big deal after all!
Oral health is just one factor that contributes to an overall healthy lifestyle. Here are a few tips to help you look after your oral health.
Starting with the obvious, brush at least twice a day and floss at least once a day. But keeping good oral health in check goes way beyond that, you should also; eat a well-balanced diet, wear a mouth guard, avoid smoking and you should absolutely schedule regular visits to your dentist.
Having a good relationship with your dentist is key!
Regular dentist appointments are the best way to detect oral (and overall) health problems you might not know you have and prevent them before they start.
During a dentist appointment it was pointed out to me that my thyroid seemed enlarged and I was advised to see my doctor. Thanks to that check-up, I was able to work with my family doctor to correct things.
Most diseases, including dental diseases and tooth decay, are easier to treat and cost less time, pain and money if detected early.
It’s never too early to encourage proper dental hygiene so we started taking our boys to the dentist when they were quite young, even baby teeth are a big deal!
Our dental clinic makes visiting as enjoyable as possible with a fun play corner for the kids, free Wi-Fi for the parents and the most amazing staff!

I love the word search. I’m so happy that my oldest son loves going to the dentist. Makes it so much less stressful for me. 🙂
Definitely less stress when they like going!
I love word searches, and love regular trips to the dentist as well.
I love word searches too, my middle guy is really into them now too so we do them together!
Fun word search idea!
Word searches are lots of fun. Thanks, will have to print off a copy for my niece to do.
Love that the printable is a smiley face 🙂
