Head Back to Class in Comfort: Wrangler Jeans for Boys

All summer long my boys have lived in basketball shorts and nothing else. They definitely have a “comfort is king” attitude when it comes to fashion, but with the lazy days of summer wrapping up and our thoughts on heading back to class, it was time to get them back into some stylish jeans.

While baggy shorts and tees might be okay for playing around the house all summer, it’s not going to cut it for looking sharp in class. Luckily for the boys, they don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style, thanks to Wrangler jeans for boys.

The boys have two main criteria when choosing jeans styles, mom has a few more points to look for.

  • Comfort
  • Style
  • Price
  • Durability

With three boys in the house, I want their jeans to be affordable but they also have to last. Boys can be so hard on their clothes and it takes quality clothing to outlast my guys.

Wrangler checks all the boxes!

Back to School Shopping Tips For Boy Moms

Get the Boys Involved

While your dudes may say they don’t care a whole lot about what they wear you know they do! You know because you are the one cutting the tags out of the scratchy underwear or see the same pair of pants week after week sitting at the bottom of their drawer unworn. Kids have opinions and they like choice, so get them involved in the shopping. Have them pick out their beloved athletic pants, but let them know they also have to pick out a pair of nice jeans. A one for you, one for me kind of strategy here.

Buy Only What’s Needed

When it comes to supplies only buy what your child really needs. At the end of the school year, I give the backpacks a good washing and assess the damage. Usually they are good to go for another year. Lunch bags always get tossed, because eww, they always get nasty. Stick to the list the teacher gives you and reuse what you can from the year before. Not everything needs to be replaced each year. Invest in the important things like backpacks, a nice pair of jeans and good shoes so they last.

Seasons Are Changing

It’s still pretty warm when the boys head back to school and they’ll want to stick with shorts and tees for a while. While it’s tempting to stock up on hoodies right now, you can likely hold off on any of the heavy stuff until later. Stick with items that can straddle seasons like t-shirts, long sleeve tees, and layering items. They are good for all seasons and can be worn to kick off the year in style, but also in the winter months. You can gift the more expensive or trendy winter items needed at Christmas.

Shop Sales

End of summer sales have already started and like I mentioned above, items like t-shirts are perfect for layering all year long. Stock up on these now along with any essentials the kids are in need of like socks and underwear.

Shop Online

Boys hate to shop, there is nothing they would rather do than be dragged around the mall by their mom and try on a hundred pairs of pants. Make it easy on yourself, and them and do a fair bit of your shopping online. Look for stores that offer free shipping and returns and do it all from the comfort of your own home. The boys will put up far less fuss trying on clothes at home, but yeah, they will still fuss, you can count on that.

Keep Your Receipts

Be sure to file away your receipts. If something breaks or doesn’t fit well, having your receipts handy will make it easier to head back to the store for returns.

From summer nights at the campground, family hiking trips, playground exercise and big city walking, I like that Wrangler jeans are versatile and can carry my boys through all of life’s adventures. Some of their boys’ jeans have 4-Way Flex Technology for comfort and I loved the trendy colour options. The various washes go with everything from basic tees to button downs.  go with everything from basic tees to button downs.

Certain Wrangler jeans also come with the all-important ‘adjust to fit’ waistband which is truly a lifesaver for our family of skinny minnies and Wrangler has a full one year warranty.

These jeans look super comfy! My little guy likes to wear jeans and they look so cute. When we need to size up, I’ll be sure to keep these in mind. My favourite part of these is the adjust to fit. The one year warranty is pretty great too.

I love jeans, especially for kids, they stand up to so much and last a long time – well as long as they fit that is lol.

  4. We don’t have a Target or Kmart anymore but we can still get Wrangler’s at Walmart & they are very durable jeans that last a really long time. A brand that’s been going strong for as long as I can remember!
