Breakfast for Dinner

While the name does suggest that this casserole is to be served at breakfast, don’t let that stop you from enjoying breakfast casserole for dinner!  It’s a nice hearty meal that is comforting especially on fall and winter nights.

Another casserole we love to eat for both breakfast and dinner is our Ham and Cheese Strata recipe!

Can You Freeze This Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole?

For sure! The best part about breakfast casseroles is they freeze really well! So you can make this casserole ahead of time (prepare and bake the casserole) then freeze the whole casserole or just the left over portions. If you are prepping for busy school/work mornings, divide the casserole into individual servings and place in a freezer safe container. Then all you have to do is take them out, heat in the microwave and you have a quick, easy breakfast before everyone dashes out the door or you can bring one along to work to have for lunch!

  5. This would be great for dinner too but not for me as I’m definitely not a fan of eggs.
