Over 30 Mom and Son Date Ideas for creating long lasting memories with your boys
Life gets busy and while we sometimes make an effort to go on date nights with our husbands (some of us are bad at this too, points finger at herself) we often forget to make special one -on-one time with our kids. Kids grow up fast, before you know it, they are high schoolers who don’t want to hang out with mom or college bound and moving out of the house.
Whether you have one boy or more, it’s important to make the time to bond together and create those memories that will last well past childhood.

Mom and son time can be simple or creative but the most important thing is you spend time connecting together and sharing a few laughs. Sometimes with boys, it’s just about getting outside and going on a small adventure.
When my boys were toddlers/preschoolers I would take them to a local lake and they would spend hours throwing rocks into the water and watching them splash. A completely free activity that got us out and about with some fresh air and exercise. It was a win for all of us, and sometimes we stopped for a donut or slushy to take with us. They are still some of my favourite memories of their childhood!
I know a family that makes a list of all the ice cream shops in the their area and they create a bucket list to hit them all throughout the summer! You could do the same idea with provincial parks, playgrounds etc. It’s fun to check each one off the list and make plans for the next one!
