Ho Ho Hold my page!!

We have the perfect Christmas themed bookmarks for little (and big!) bookworms – let Santa hold their page! The great thing about these bookmarks is that they are easy to print and don’t require any special materials. Simply download the free printable file, print it out on cardstock or heavy paper, and cut out the bookmark.

Printer
White cardstock paper

Scissors or paper cutter

Optional:
Laminating paper
Hole Punch
Yarn or Ribbon

Instructions

Simply print the free holiday themed bookmarks onto white cardstock. Cardstock paper is much heavier than regular paper and will hold up on it’s own. If you are using printer paper, I recommend using coloured cardstock or a stiffer paper to use as a backing.

Just cut the bookmarks out using scissors or a paper cutter and either use right away or go ahead and dress them up with a little tassel.

For a pop of colour and fun, you can use a hole puncher to make a hole at the top center or corner of the bookmark and tie some yarn through. This will hang out over the edges of your book and you’ll spot your saved place right away!

For extra sturdiness and to keep your new bookmark looking good, you can use laminating paper to cover the bookmark on both sides to protect it. Local libraries may also have laminating machines that you can use, I know mine does. Just be sure to do this before adding the yarn/ribbon tassel.

Not only are they fun and festive, but they can also help kids keep track of their reading progress.

If you know kids who love to read, a book and a bookmark are a perfect gift! Need suggestions? Visit our post on Family Favourite Hockey Books for Kids
