Printable Valentine bookmarks are a fun and easy way to encourage reading and celebrate Valentine’s Day!
Perfect little bookmarks for young readers that can also double up as a class Valentine card!
Simply download the free printable file, print it out on cardstock or heavy paper, and cut out the bookmark. If using as a Valentine’s Day card, just write your “to” and “from” message onto the back of the card. Be sure to do this step before laminating, if you choose to laminate.

You’ll Need
Printer
White paper or cardstock
Valentines Bookmark Printable PDF
Scissors or paper cutter
Optional:
Coloured cardstock paper
Laminating paper
Hole Punch
Yarn or string
Instructions
Simply print the free Valentine themed bookmarks onto white printer paper or cardstock. Cardstock paper is much heavier and will hold up on it’s own. If you are using printer paper, I recommend using coloured cardstock or a stiffer paper to use as a backing.
Just cut the bookmarks out using scissors or a paper cutter and either use right away or go ahead and dress them up a little.
For extra sturdiness and to keep your new bookmark looking good, you can use laminating paper (check the dollar store!) to cover the bookmark on both sides to protect it. Local libraries may have laminating machines that you can use, I know mine does. Just be sure to do this before adding the yarn/ribbon tassel.
Dress Up Your Valentine’s Day Bookmark!
You can layer the bookmarks onto coloured paper for sturdiness and a brighter look!
For another pop of colour and fun, you can use a hole puncher to make a hole at the top center or corner of the bookmark and tie some yarn or string through. This will hang out over the edges of your book and you’ll spot your saved place right away!
Feel free to dress your bookmarks up any way you like! (glitter even?)

No Printer?
You can have your bookmarks printed for a low cost at a local business supply place like Staples.
