Welcome to Burnbrae Farms! Last week, the gracious Hudson family invited myself and 12 other bloggers to visit their farm and family legacy in Lyn Ontario. I'm not sure any of us knew what to expect, but as it turned out, we were in for a real treat! During our long drive on the 'party bus', we chatted with Margaret Hudson, President of Burnbrae Farms. To say Margaret is passionate about eggs is an understatement! She knows her business inside and out, enthusiastically talks about social … [Read more...]
Eggs are a family business for Burnbrae Farms
Egg-cited about Eggs!
Growing up, one of my best friends lived on a turkey farm just outside the town limits. I spent many, many days and nights out there on the farm playing in the treehouse, sleeping in the damp basement and when we were really lucky, wandering through the turkey barns. The sights, the smells, the sounds, it was all super fascinating to me! Next week I have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the poultry sec once more as I join bloggers from across the country on a … [Read more...]
A one of a kind Egg Hunt at The Toronto Zoo!
On Good Friday, the boys took in a one of a kind egg hunt at The Toronto Zoo! A fun family event put on by Crocs, had the boys racing around the zoo in search of eggs! But not just any old egg, the boys were hunting down animals that laid eggs using their special Crocs passport to give them clues! Like this super cool Komodo Dragon lays eggs! And of course our turtle friends do too! Despite the drizzly Spring weather, we had a great time and the boys learned a little … [Read more...]
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Opens in Toronto
Last week my family was invited in for a sneak peek of the coveted LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, the first and only venue of it's kind in Canada. There's been a lot of buzz from Torontonians about the arrival of LEGOLAND, and as parents of three Lego obsessed fans, we were pretty excited to give them the chance to be one of the first kids to walk through the Lego-man shaped doors of LEGOLAND! Our jaws dropped when we got our first look at the LEGO MINILAND, complete with famous … [Read more...]
Ford Digital Summit 2013 #FordNAIAS
Recently I attended the Ford Digital Summit in Detroit, Michigan. I've shared my experience at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) with you already, but that was not all Ford had to offer. In fact, while the Atlas Concept reveal was very exciting, my fondest memory of our time away would be found on our very first evening at the Henry Ford Museum. Henry Ford Museum The museum is a beautiful building to explore, in fact, even though the museum was closed to the public and … [Read more...]
Taking in the North American International Auto Show with Ford Canada
The North American International Auto Show is in full swing down in Detroit and I was lucky enough to have had to opportunity to venture down, even before they opened their doors to the public courtesy of Ford. For the fifth year in a row Ford has broaden their outlook on traditional media and are among the first and undoubtedly the best companies to think outside the box and embrace what they fondly refer to as 'Online Influencers'. This year I was proud to attend along with 150 other online … [Read more...]
