Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

These Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies are one of our favourite cookies of all time. We love them and make them often. They are soft, chewy and delicious! The best part of making these is hearing Big Brother ask if he can 'hatch' the eggs! lol Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies Ingredients 1 cup butter 1 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup white sugar 1 cup peanut butter 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup quick-cooking oats 1/2 … [Read more...]

No Girls Allowed!!

........Except Mommy of course!!! Because not only am I fun, cute and cuddly, I cook their meals and change their bums. So, I get a pass into the 'boys club'. Who else practically lived in one of these blanket forts as a kid??? My brother and I spent hours building and rebuilding forts, houses and hideaways. I just loved a cozy little corner I could crawl into or a house I could stake claim on. My guys liked it too, In fact, I think we left it up for 3 or 4 days! Even the dog started … [Read more...]

Go BIG or Go Home

Every once in awhile we like to GO BIG! There are occassions when a card simply won't do! you need to just shout it out! I have the boys put their creativity to work to paint Big murals. The key is to not let the middle get coloured, because that's where you'll want to write your message. I use a bit of 'sticky tack' (reusable adhesive) to hold down an 81/2 x11 sized piece of paper right in … [Read more...]

31 Hours

This weekend I experienced a rarer than rare 31 hours completely child free!!! The last time that happened was in the Fall of '07 so I was long overdue! I took the 3 hour road trip to visit my Dad who is home from the hospital and doing very well. I couldn't bring the boys for fear they would try to climb all over him and it was certain they would wake him while he rested. So out I ventured alone, what's a girl to do??? ~ I got to drive the tiny little car instead of the monster van ~ I … [Read more...]

Birthday Season is approaching….

I'm a planner, I like to be organized. I think ahead. So it's no surprise that although it's still a couple of months away Birthday Season is on my mind. We fondly refer to the end of May/beginning of June as Birthday Season. This is the time of year when 4 out of 5 of our immediate family members have birthdays within 10 days! If you include Grandma and my nephew in those same 10 days we have 6 birthdays! That's a lot of cake!! It's as big as Christmas around here! This year is extra … [Read more...]
