The holidays are all about spending quality time with those we love. This year, surprise family and friends by switching things up and hosting a fabulous holiday brunch instead of the traditional turkey dinner. Brunch is one of favourite times of day to host, especially when our kids were little. The boys were rested and happy, loved breakfast food, and when it was over we had the whole rest of the day to clean up. New Year Day is a perfect time to finally catch up with friends over a … [Read more...]

Pallet Projects
A couple of weeks back I mentioned on facebook that we were working on some pallet projects. In the Fall we had visited a strange local junk yard type place with so many random things for sale. Rusty old cars and tractors, barn boards, windows, you name it, it was literally a treasure trove of junk and unique finds. We spotted an old pallet that had thinner boards than regular ones and asked the man about it. He said we could have it for free and handed my husband a crow bar to remove the … [Read more...]
Toys for Boys and One Amazing Product for Mom!
Whenever I'm looking for gifts for one of the many little boys in my life I know I can always count on toys from JAKKS Pacific Canada and Incredible Novelties for something fun and a little different! This Christmas, I'm rounding up some fun holiday ornaments that … [Read more...]
Cuddly and Cozy for the Holidays with Showcase

It was filled with books, stuffed animals, pjs, a night lights etc and I wanted to create a similar basket for one of my own boys. But what to put in a Bedtime Basket for an older kid? I found … [Read more...]
Stuff Those Stockings with Thermos
Here's a little trick I have for filling stockings, instead of buying a ton of small items that can really add up cost wise, choose a bigger item that's going to fill a good portion of the stocking and then work around it. My suggestion? A Thermos beverage container. My boys each keep one of the Thermos FUNtainers at their desk at school. The teachers encourage this to avoid kids asking for drinks at the water fountain, the kids love it and as a parent … [Read more...]
