All three of my boys and my husband have their birthdays within 10 days of eachother, and when we finally wrap up birthday season, it’s already Father’s Day! It’s exciting and exhausting all at once, but when I am picking out gifts I know that books are always going to be a big hit, even for Father’s Day! I like to pick out a fun kids books about Daddy’s for the boys to give their Dad and it warms my heart to see Daddy and the boys reading together.
Here are a couple of Scholastic Books that made their way into gift bags at our house this year. Shhhh….don’t tell Daddy about his Father’s Day gift lol

We had a good laugh with Zoe and her funny outfits and it made me really glad my own boys actually do a really good job when getting dressed and picking out clothes for themselves. Except Little Buddy, if you ask him to get his pajamas, he brings you a fresh outfit every time. yup, jeans, a tee, socks the whole combo and it matches. It’s just not pajamas. He can’t wrap his head around pajamas. Or maybe he just doesn’t want to go to bed! lol

I still haven’t figured out what to get Dad for father’s day. Gonna start paying ‘car rent’ on the car he borrowed me while mine is out of commission, he’ll be happy for that extra money at least? And if I can’t think of anything before the D-Day, it’ll be a trip out to a restaurant of his choice.
He already picked out his own present, a BBQ. Since Mother’s Day has already passed, there will be no added surprises from me!

My boys’ Dad is so far getting a barbeque set and a portable safe that hold electronics, money, etc. when traveling. OH, and a special Build-a-Bear Fisherman bear! But that card Zack makes at school is going to be the best gift of all, I know! 🙂

At our local momstown playgroup yesterday, my girls made a t shirt with their handprints on it. I’ll also make a new scrapbook page with a poem about Dad’s and a picture of the girls on it with handprints.
Hubs is very sentimental and loves the ‘handprints’ he receives every year.
