My youngest child has stinky feet. Okay not really, it’s his shoes that smell awful, that happens I guess when you have two older brothers and they pass you down everything from hats to shoes. It’s actually rare that shoes make it through three active boys and I wouldn’t exactly say his shoes have made it either, they are dirty, there are more than a few holes and yes, they really do smell horribly. The problem is he loves them, and the reason he loves them is because they light up when he walks! Actually, that should be past tense because just recently that gave up the ghost too so he’s more than ready to retire his stink mobiles and freshen up his tooties with a brand new pair of Skechers!
Boys’ S Lights: Pillar – Ignus Light-Up Shoes
These shoes are SUPER COOL! They come in three awesome colours, Red, Blue and Lime Green all offset against the Black base colour. They are eye catching and YES! They light up! They have 4 lights on the outer side of each shoe that blink and chase each other with every step, so Little Buddy is a happy boy! I love the lace up detail, but no worries Mama’s, these are still a slip on shoe. We’ve had a number of other shoes that have had that Z strap and they were constantly falling open, these shoes are not like that at all and hold on nice to the foot. Even with the red bottoms, they are non marking soles so they are safe to wear in gym class or any floor without leaving scuff marks behind.
These shoes are super sporty and super durable! They look and feel just like an adult shoe unlike other flimsy shoes we’ve had that do not stand up to preschoolers. They have a leather upper and mesh on the sides for breath-ability and cooling (probably helps in the stinky feet dept too).
Sometimes we end up buying the kids shoes they like even though we aren’t really in love with them ourselves, but this time Mommy and Daddy love them just as much as the kids! They are very cool and gather a lot of compliments! If your little guys need a new set of sneaks this year, these will be perfect for under your tree! It’d be a coin toss who’d end up wearing these super duper shoes… With 6 small children in our family, I think we’d have to make it a draw of names or something ?! My boys are always going through runners too and so hand me downs seldom happen in the footwear dept 🙂
