I knew the GBOP would be a hit with our rowdy boys the minute I saw it. What’s GBOP? It stands for Great Big Outdoor Playball. It comes in a few different sizes (and even a football shape) to accommodate a range of ages.

We got the Green & Blue 52″ Playball for my rough and tumble big guy. It’s geared for 6-8 year olds but I knew my 5 year old would love it and he did! I’ve never seen him more excited for a toy ever, we practically had to drag him out of there to break for dinner. Hair sweaty, cheeks red, smile from ear to ear- I would say he was enjoying himself and he wasn’t alone! Our group ranged from 1-18 year olds and everyone joined in for some fun. Actually I even jumped in for a go! Couldn’t resist!
Plus the GBOP was the talk of the town, we had more than a couple people stop in to ask where we got it or if they could take a turn- and they weren’t all kids either! lol Everyone was impressed with our new toy from HearthSong!

I loved the versatility of the 52″ ball. The smaller kids liked pushing from the outside and the bigger kids loved getting inside the ball for a roll.
If you don’t have an air pump (you’ll want the reverse feature as well) you’ll want to order one. Not having one handy, it took a bunch of us to blow it up by mouth. This is why the ball is a little squishy in our pics above. It was even harder to let the air out pinching off each section one at a time to release the air.
