Cavendish From the Farm Potatoes are Canadian Grown!

I love to bake, when I am whipping something up in the kitchen it is all about chocolate and nuts and anything sweet! I’ve even been known to start a batch of cookies at 4:30pm and then blow off dinner because ‘I just spent an hour in the kitchen’ and ‘the oven was being used’ lol yeah, that’s me! 


When it comes to every day meals, I’m not a natural, but I make it work when it counts! Cavendish makes life really easy for creating interesting meals that the whole family will love, and you know what? They’re Canadian, eh?

Cavendish potatoes are grown right here in the rich, red soil of PEI! The summer before we had kids, the hubster and I took a two week vacation to the East Coast of Canada and we loved seeing all the fields of growing potatoes, knowing some day, they just might end up on our plates at home!

Cavendish From the Farm Potatoes come in three different and delicious styles – Wedges, Rustic Reds and Straight Cut.  Cavendish potatoes are prepared with the skin on, made with 100% canola oil and lightly seasoned with sea salt. They are  also low in saturated fat!

I picked up a bag of every flavour because my boys love french fries and I had a feeling they would dive right into these! I was right! We started with the wedges as a side on rib night and they were a huge hit with the both the kids and the parents! With just a bit of seasoning salt before they were popped into the oven, the farm fresh wedges were to die for! Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and just the right size! I can honestly say they were the best potato wedges I’ve tried, I raved about them all through dinner, and I can’t wait to give the straight cut and rustic reds a try!

  2. We love roasted smashed potatos. Miniature potatoes first boiled – then smashed, and seasoned put in the oven to bake. They are a hit with the kiddo who gets to help with the ‘smashing’. Those ribs and potatos are making me hungry!

  5. I have never heard of this brand before, but it sure looks great. We love breaded fish and fries…I will look for them next time I’m at the store!
