Few can resist that chocolate hazelnut flavour of Nutella! It’s so popular that at our house each of the boys got their own jar for Christmas because they were always arguing about who was getting more when a jar comes into the house!
With this chocolate chip Nutella cookie recipe, sharing is made easy! It makes a nice big batch, we got just over 30 cookies with our cookie scoop, so there was plenty to go around.

How To Make Chocolate Nutella Cookies
Ingredients
3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup Nutella
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

- 3/4 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Beat the butter and both sugars until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and egg yolk until combined.
- Add in the vanilla and the Nutella. Mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl blend flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir just until incorporated.
- Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, stir until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop drop dough 2-inches apart onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-13 minutes, or until edges look set and the centers look soft, don't overbake.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
