We had a fun filled Canada Day Weekend, it was suppose to kick off our week long holiday but it’s been cancelled yet again, yes for the second time this summer already! Am I bitter, yes I am!
Anyways, we did have us some fun for the holiday weekend, Friday was Canada Day and we headed to Timmy’s in the morning for some Cold Stone ice cream! lol Yup, we had dessert before lunch! Gotta love a holiday! We all tried a different creation, got really sticky and had fun.
Then we headed over to the parade route to find a good shady spot to sit, we grabbed a pizza and ate it while we waited for the parade to start. Such a big pet peeve, when people show up right as the parade hits and stands in front of you! seriously people???? We’ve been here for an hour to make sure we had a spot and some shade and you are going to stand right in front of my kids?? I don’t think so…. anyways…me complaining again….the kids loved the parade!
Want to hear me complain some more? lol sure ya do! I’m on a roll! The worst part of having your Hubster work for an American company is the complete lack of respect for Canadian holidays, Hubster was forced to be at a conference call about 10 min before the parade ended and it lasted an hour. So we skillfully tried to pack up the kids and the chairs, head to the van to ditch them (the chairs not the kids!) and head to the park for some festivities. Being stuck in a busy, hot park with 3 kids, a stroller, a wagon and no shade or water and well, no help from the Hubster was horrible. He did run away with the crabby baby for a bit and the rest of us managed to retreat to the waters edge where it was cooler but we lost eachother in the crowd in the process and Big Brother fell into the lake not once but twice! ooohhh Lawdy!!! time to head home!
