Easy and Creative Valentine Box ideas for boys (or girls!) to make this Valentine’s Day!
It’s hard to believe that it’s almost February! I feel like I just finally got my Christmas decorations down and it’s already getting close to Valentine’s Day!
Pretty soon our little ones will be getting ready for Valentine’s Day parties and card exchanges at school so I’ve gathered up some pretty cool Valentine box ideas for boys to make this year!
What is a Valentine Box?
This is actually a valid question, especially if you don’t live in the United States, like me! I had never heard of a Valentine Box until I was online searching for classroom Valentines Day cards when my boys started school. I didn’t grow up with this cool project as a kid, we most commonly used brown paper bags that we decorated in class and things didn’t change much over the years because that’s pretty much all my boys have done too. Seeing online how amazingly creative and elaborate these projects can get, I’m actually pretty grateful for the low maintenance paper bags!
A Valentine Box is simply a decorated box for kids to hold their Valentine’s cards as they collect them from friends at class parties. They are typically homemade and customized to things each child has an interest in.
I’ve collected about 15 different ideas to inspire you and your child this year. They are all fun and creative boxes but are mostly made out of basic household items with some added festive embellishments that add just enough flair to really make these DIY Valentine boxes a big hit!
