Go Wild at African Lion Safari this Summer!

My family loves a good adventure so we were in for a treat when we spent a recent Saturday afternoon at African Lion Safari! It was a day packed full of fun! Amazing animals, playgrounds, splash pads, boat and train rides and a number of entertaining shows - there was fun at every turn! It's hard to believe that forty three years ago African Lion Safari opened their gates! Colonel Dailley created his dream of  creating a wildlife park where animals were free to roam and … [Read more...]

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

disclosure: We received complimentary tickets to visit the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, however, all opinions expressed are honest and my own.   During our recent trip to Florida we filled our day with surf, sun and a whole lot of fun, but seeing as how the boys were supposed to be in school, we wanted to make sure we have some educational visits as well. My husband had been to the Kennedy Space Center as a child and has always had a love for science and technology so we knew … [Read more...]

Summer Festivals in Massachusetts #XploreMass

My family loves a good road trip!  Last year we drove to Pennsylvania to make friends with Elmo at Sesame Place and this spring we set out on a  25 hour drive to Florida! My kids always amaze us with how great they are for long drives, so we have no fear of loading the van and taking to the road, in fact, a two hour flight would make me more nervous! Every time we come home from one of our adventures we quickly grab the map to look for our next great road trip, and I was pleasantly surprised to … [Read more...]

Visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte NC

disclosure: We received complimentary tickets to visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame and ride the simulator, however, all opinions expressed are honest and my own.   My family recently took a two week road trip to sunny Florida! We were really anxious and excited to get there, so we drove 25 hours straight with the beach calling our names the whole time. On the return home though, we decided to take it a little slower and get to know some of those states we had driven through on the way … [Read more...]

Sea World Orlando ~ the voyage begins

I had heard a lot of good things about Sea World before heading to Florida, like really really good things, so needless to say, we were expecting greatness before we even stepped foot onto Sea World grounds. We probably picked the worst day to go, the hottest day of the week and a Friday, so every school group and cheer squad in the area seemed to be in attendance. Nevertheless, we had a good time.  Sea World Orlando Here's what our day had in store for us Dolphin Whisperer We … [Read more...]

Global Resort Homes ~ Our Florida home away from home!

Traveling with a large family can be tough, and while I don't really consider our family of 5 all that 'large', the commercial world does. In the past we've actually been turned away from hotels for exceeding their 4 person room limit and when we do stay in hotels we almost always have one of the kids on a blow up mattress on the floor. That can be okay for one night, but it's not ideal for a longer stay. We knew we were going to have to come up with a better plan for our full week's stay in … [Read more...]
