Elf on the Shelf Adventures 2013

It's almost time for our elf on the shelf Jingles to return to Santa at the North Pole and say good bye to the boys. Before he makes his final journey I wanted to share with you some of the fun places we spotted him in on our morning searches throughout the house!   Not creepy at all to wake up to this guy over your bed right? My son was soooo excited to see him in his room! Jingles brought the boys candy canes and we spotted them all hiding in the tree!  Climb Jingles Climb!  My … [Read more...]

A Moose in a Maple Tree

“On the first day of Christmas, a Canuck sent to me a moose in a maple tree.” Well, it might not be your traditional Christmas carol, but it is a really great one created just for us Canucks! Troy Townsin (a former Aussie) and Jennifer Harrington a Vancouver born illustrator have paired together to create a series of Canadian themed Christmas books for the holidays! It's a catchy little tune and my Candian boys love to sing along with the whales breaching, lobsters nipping and beavers … [Read more...]

Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars

Making Little Big Impressions

* My reviewer Diane had the pleasure of creating a sweet keepsake ornament from Little Big Impressions! * Like most parents, we’ve done handprints and footprints of the kids with paint, and in casting moulds… all cute, but lacking the true details we were trying to capture. Those were our only choices though… or so I thought. Then I got to try Little Big Impressions.   With Christmas coming I knew I had to make a “my first Christmas” ornament for our newest arrival. I had been putting it … [Read more...]

With three boys in the house, we are one LEGO obsessed family, so I was super excited to stumble across this link to turn your family into LEGO minifigures for the holidays!
